Filing help

If your filing gets stuck, we look at your case.

Where do I find my summary document?

You download it from the INPI Guichet unique, at the last step of your filing. Three steps are enough.

  1. 1

Open the “Signature” step of your filing

On procedures.inpi.fr, open your filing in progress. The last step is called “Signature”.

  2. 2

Click “Télécharger la synthèse” (download the summary)

Under “1. Téléchargez la synthèse”, a PDF is waiting for you. Its name looks like “Document_de_Synthese_J0…_v1.pdf”.

  3. 3

Sign it, then upload the signed document back

Upload this PDF to ClairSign. You receive the signed document by email: upload it under “2. Réimportez la synthèse une fois signée électroniquement”.

    Sign my document

Frequently asked questions

Which document should I upload?

The summary document (document de synthèse) for your filing, in PDF format. You download it from the INPI Guichet unique, at the signature step.

How long does it take?

A few minutes, start to finish. You upload your document, sign and confirm with the code received by email.

Will my signed document be accepted by INPI?

Your document receives an advanced electronic signature (eIDAS). It is backed by a trust service provider listed on the European Union Trusted List. The signed document is then filed on the Guichet unique, at the “Signature” step of your formality.

Do I need a video appointment or a special device?

No. A computer or phone and an email address are all you need.

How do I then upload my signed document?

Go back to the signature step of your filing on the Guichet unique, then upload the signed document you received by email.

What if my filing is blocked or rejected?

Write to us with a screenshot of the message shown: our team looks at your file and helps you 7 days a week.

Are my documents protected?

Yes. Your documents are sent encrypted and used only for your signature.

I haven’t received my signed document. What should I do?

First check your spam folder. If the document isn’t there, email us with the email address you used: we’ll send it again.

How much does it cost to sign my document?

The price starts at €19.90 incl. VAT. The exact price for your formality is shown before any payment.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once, for one document. No further charges follow.

Who collects the payment?

A licensed payment provider collects the payment and sends you the receipt. On your statement, the line shows “CLAIRSIGN”.

I received 2 files: which one do I upload?

The one whose name ends in _signed.pdf: that is your signed document, to upload to the Guichet unique. The one that starts with evidence_ is your evidence file: keep it for yourself, do not upload it.

I have several documents to sign?

Each summary document is signed separately: upload them one after the other. The price applies to each document.

Do I have to draw my signature by hand (handwritten)?

As you prefer: draw it with your finger or mouse, or choose “Type my name”. No scan of a handwritten signature is needed.

Can I sign a public procurement document?

Yes: ClairSign applies an advanced electronic signature to the PDF the buyer’s platform asks you to sign. Read the consultation rules first: they state the signature level required.

Do I have to sign the ESPD (DUME)?

Not necessarily: the application and the bid do not have to be signed, unless the buyer requires it in the consultation documents. The DUME is the European application form (ESPD).

What about the acte d’engagement (the contract)?

It is the contract, signed when the contract is awarded. To sign it electronically, the French order of 22 March 2019 requires a certificate of a level that ClairSign does not issue: use a provider on the European Union trusted list.

I am closing my business: which document do I sign?

The summary document (document de synthèse) of your closure filing. The Guichet unique lets you download it at the “Signature” step: you sign it here, then upload the signed document to your filing.

Do I need a Kbis to sign?

No. All you need is your summary document and an email address to receive the code. No Kbis (company registration extract) is needed to sign, whether you are setting up, changing or closing your business.

Can I sign on someone else’s behalf?

The person signing must be the one named on the document. If you are acting for someone else, read our guide on powers of attorney.

My document isn’t a summary document. Is that possible?

Our service is designed for the Guichet unique summary document. For any other document, email us before paying.

How do I delete my data?

Email us from the email address you used: we handle your request in line with our privacy policy.

FranceConnect+ does not work for me: can I use ClairSign instead?

Yes. ClairSign does not go through FranceConnect+: you upload your summary document, sign it with the code received by email, and file the signed document yourself on the Guichet unique.

How do I request a refund?

If your document could not be signed within 24 hours of your payment, write to us from the email address you used: a full refund is provided for in our terms of sale.

Why “not affiliated with INPI”?

ClairSign is a private company: we are not INPI, not the Guichet unique and not a public service. INPI does not sell electronic signatures. We provide the signature its Guichet unique requires, and you complete your filing yourself on the INPI website. The filing itself remains free or paid under INPI’s own rules, independently of our service.
